Why Use iCurrent?

iCurrent is a simple, yet comprehensive, way to stay current across your interests. Just browse current information and add or create channels for your interests as you go. We’ll automatically find and organize the most relevant information from thousands of sources, including well-known newspapers, magazines, and blogs.

iCurrent alleviates the pain of visiting multiple sites, plowing through email newsletters and alerts, or hassling with your “My” site just to try to stay current. iCurrent helps you stay on top of the news and information that matters to you in a fun and natural way.

What Makes iCurrent Different?

  • iCurrent delivers channels organized around your interests and finely tuned to your topics and favorite sources.
  • iCurrent puts you in control so you only get the content you want to see. You can hide sources and topics you do not want to see and highlight those you value the most.
  • iCurrent evolves as your interests evolve. Your channels follow your cues and present articles and information that match your interests at any given time.
  • iCurrent goes beyond other personalized news sites: tuning your interest channels to the exact topics and sources you care about distinguishes iCurrent. It’s way beyond persistent searches for single topics.
  • iCurrent goes beyond feed readers: it’s interest-centric, not source-centric. You can focus on topics within each interest, then drill down to topic and source mixes. And no “2,134 unread items” guilt. No inbox = inbox zero.

How Does iCurrent Work?

Our editors curate an array of content channels that cover a wide range of interests and our systems harvest and organize new content to match your interests. You can choose which channels you want to follow or create your own. Whether you like soccer, sushi, or staying abreast of the political twists and turns of the U.S. Senate, you’ll easily discover news and information that’s relevant to you.

To get started, simply enter a few interests. We’ll do the rest and automatically deliver articles and other content that matches your needs. As you use iCurrent, you can tune channels to your evolving interests by clicking “Yes, I’m interested” or “No, I’m not interested.” You can easily add new interests and remove those you no longer wish to follow.

You can also share articles and channels with your friends by email or post links to Facebook and Twitter.

We’re in private beta, still working furiously to get the service ready for more people. Request a Beta Invite and we’ll send you an invitation as we improve the service and add more people.
